How about an adorable afghan for Valentine's Day? Wouldn't your little girl just love snuggling up in this Ribbons of Hearts reversible afghan! This reversible design is not as complicated as it looks! It was made alternating rows of light violet and magenta soft worsted weight yarn, using a combination of sc and long hdc which are worked into the previous row. The long hdc are worked with one color on odd rows and the contrasting color on even rows creating the reversible effect. A design chart is also included for reference. This pattern is written in U.S. terms. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You should already know how to ch, sl st, sc, hdc and dc. Additional stitches are explained in the pattern. I have always loved crafting! My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. I started writing down patterns when making snowflakes, one of my favorite projects to make.
