PATTERN DETAILS

These three hats are quick and fun to crochet. They were a special request from my niece when she was going through chemotherapy. The profits from the sale of this pattern are donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of my niece and mom who have survived these difficult diseases. This pattern is written in U.S. terms. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You should already know how to ch, sl st, sc, hdc an dc. Additional stitches are explained in the instructions, such as dc2tog and dc4tog. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS One-size adult hat.

Recommended with this pattern

  • Shell Hat: 1 - 2 oz. (56.7 g) ball of taupe worsted weight cotton yarn; and size H (5 mm) and I (5.5 mm) crochet hooks
  • Rosette Hat: 1 - 2 oz. (56.7 g) ball of cream worsted weight cotton yarn; and a size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
  • Pineapple Hat: 1 - 100 yd. (91.5 m) ball each of medium brown and light brown cotton crochet thread, size 3; and size F (3.75 mm) and G (4 mm) crochet hooks

I have always loved crafting! My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. I started writing down patterns when making snowflakes, one of my favorite projects to make. I love working on any kind of thread crochet project such as connect as you go motifs, filet crochet, etc. My other favorite crochet projects are working on my reversible designs. I also enjoy cross stitch and knitting. Someday I hope to learn quilting and tatting.
