GAUGE Gauge checkpoints are given in the pattern. Exact gauge is not essential in this project. When checking gauge, measure from the last stitch made all the way across. When I found myself altering patterns I decided it was time to start designing my own. I began crocheting children's hats for Halos of Hope in 2010. They are a great organization that sends soft hats to chemo centers all over the USA. I hope my silly hats can bring some happiness to a child fighting a terrible disease.
