This is a simple & fun beginner friendly scarf, that works for just about any yarn type. Scarf is written for two weights of yarn, directions are written separately for DK/sport/worsted weight yarn, followed by fingering weight yarn. Both versions are also charted (charts are on separate pages, so you can easily print just the charts, or skip printing the charts to save yourself ink if you don't use them). Materials: 1 ball (50 grams) of fingering, DK or sport weight yarn OR 2 balls (100 grams) of worsted weight yarn, & a crochet hook that gives you a nice, drapey fabric (I used an H hook; I crochet loosely & most crocheters need to go up 1-2 crochet hooks to match gauge) Measurements: Will vary with gauge & materials used. My finished scarf was 6" wide (at widest point) by 66" long after blocking using 1 ball (50 grams) Knit Picks Felici Sport weight yarn Thank you to my wonderful testers, CollieGrl64, pixie56, honeystalks, Nancy-P, jam52, merripurdy, DyeSpinKnit, & soxvixen, & to June Gilbank ( for her tech editing/charting skills. Extra thanks to pixie56 for coming up with the name! Feel free to make as many of these as you like for local craft fairs/auctions/raffles/bazaars, but please do not sell finished items online. Anastacia Knits Designs
My name is Anastacia, and I am the scrap yarn/one skein queen. I buy my yarn mainly at yard sales/thrift stores, so I got used to making do with what I could find. So most of my patterns are designed to use up the odd skeins or leftovers in your life, and are geared towards beginner crocheters or those who just want a fast, easy, but still pretty item. I'm a 30 something adult living in MA. I’m married, have a wonderful cat named Wedgie, & I work full time. I also teach knitting & crocheting at my local Michael's & squeeze in designing as many hours as I can a week. I do love to hear from everyone, but please remember that I am busy, just like you, & will reply as soon as I can. All of my patterns use USA terms & abbreviations. I try to layout my patterns as simply as possible to save money for people printing at home. My patterns are as short as possible, usually with only one photo on the first page, which you can easily skip printing to save ink. .
