This the junior version of my oh-so-basic crocheted snood, which I featured on my blog last year with every intention of providing a pattern. The adult version has been very popular and I've had a good few requests for the version for little ones that I pictured in the original post. This quick and easy snood is crocheted with a double strand of dk yarn, using a simple treble (U.S. - double crochet) stitch. It is knitted in a circle so that sewing up is not necessary. The ease and speed with which it can be made makes it suitable for beginners. NB It is very important to check the gauge to obtain the given measurements. The pattern may be adjusted for variations in width and depth. It is perfect for cosying up as the journey to school gets colder - no fastenings or bits flapping around and so easy to take on and off and can be made up in as little as just one evening. GAUGE Approx 10sts to 12cm, 4rows to 8cm. Tension wil vary depending on tightness of crochet and yarn used. Slight variations are not important as the fit is loose.
