There are a number of styles you can make, wrist variations, thumb variations, fingers, finger holes, fingerless, mittens, long arm coverage or short. Size variations by hook and yarn weights. Size: For materials I used basic Red Heart 4 ply yarn. I found that your hook will change sizes perfectly. So G hook will fit the average X-Small adult. An H hook will fit Small to Medium. Size I hook is a size Medium to Large. You want an Large to X-Large use a J hook. Now if your not confused yet just wait. So you want to use a smaller yarn but still get a large size so Increase hook size by 1 or you want a smaller size using the bulkier yarn ahhh just use a smaller hook by 1 size. Mix it up to fit your size I gave you several options. Oh wait want children's gloves? Use even a finer yarn like sport weight and Try E or F hook, you will have to experiment but it will be worth it. Materials: Size G,H, I or J crochet hook, Red Heart Super Saver Yarn. Pick your favorite color. In the photos I used Red Heart super saver yarn. The stripe gloves are Red heart Strata which is a pattern stripe yarn and also 4 ply weight. Then the blue gloves are a cotton blend yarn by Lion Brand which is called Cotton ease. I used the same size hook as the 4 ply yarn and it worked up the same. Note: For each style I also added an increase for those larger arms since the gloves go a few inches to 12 inches above your wrist. Also pay attention because there is rnds used and then I switch to rows and back to rnds. Right Hand and Left hand gloves are worked the same, then choose either style 1 or 2 for different looks. After you have the base glove of your choice now choose, No thumb and partial fingers, thumb and no fingers, capped mitten. Mix it up to get your own style. Instructions for all options are included. Either use them or don't. NOTE: When making variations it is important to make notes so you remember to do the same number of rows or stitches for the other hand.
