Currently I have 3 co-workers who are expecting babies within the coming months. I looked around online for something cute to crochet for one of the babies but I couldn't find a design that I liked. I wanted something classic but modern. Adorable, but very funtional. Cute enough for pictures, but also comfortable for daily wear. I finally gave up looking and started designing my own pattern. I hope that you enjoy this one. I like the fact that it's versatile and I include a couple of options for you. You can make it with or without the elastic that draws in the bodice, and with or without the spiral flower embellishment. You can make it one color or many. This pattern really gives you an opportunity to create something that is uniquely your own. I have been crafting since I was a little girl, partly because I don't like to just sit still and do nothing! I love the feeling of finishing a project, and I love the reaction when I give a special handmade gift to one of my children or a friend. There is something very special about making something that no one else has. If you have tried out any of my patterns, the first thing you probably noticed is that they are EASY! Why? While I love a good challenge as much as the next girl, I also like to knit and crochet to unwind after a long stressful day at the office. I often (always) work on my projects while watching TV or a movie or while spending time with my three children who like to talk... sometimes at a very fast pace and all at once. :) An easy pattern is a requirement for me. I hate frogging or as I call it un-knitting. I've made it a bit of a mission to create patterns that look difficult and impressive but actually aren't. I really hope that you enjoy making them as much as I did.
