Jane Austen! Who doesn't love it? This is a nod to the empire waisted beauties that girls and women wore back in that day and age. The color isn't quite so vintage, but is definitely fun! I made this dress with wool yarn, thinking to wear it in fall or winter, but it could so obviously be made with cotton and worn in the summer and spring. I might just have to make myself another one! The pattern is written so that you can customize it for any size without any complicated calculating or mathematics. The main piece is made by crocheting side to side, so you simply work more or less of the repeat pattern to make it fit around you; when it fits you, you stop repeating, finish the rest of the dress.
