I saw a few of these cozy's on the Internet and thought they were charming. I wanted to create a simple pattern that beginners could make. I like the fact that they can reduce paper trash and can fit easily in a purse or bag. They can make great hand-made gifts for family and friends. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY single crochet, half-double crochet SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS finished piece should measure approximately 7'' X 3''

Recommended with this pattern

  • hook size H, 2 feet of ribbon, yarn

Macro Crocheter Patterns
I like to crochet everything in "macro" size. The bigger, the better! I’m married and have a 17 year old son. I’m currently working on my thesis as a master’s student in the Smithsonian/George Mason University M.A. program (History of Decorative Arts) in Washington D.C. I have been crocheting since I was 4 years old. My great-grandmother taught me how to crochet. When I was little I used to make everything out of yarn; hats, scarves, barbie doll clothes, etc. It was a natural fit. I previously worked on the hyperbolic crochet coral reef as an intern and contributor at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. I recently participated in Artisphere’s yarn bomb project. I was commissioned to make a limited edition custom designed Andy Warhol inspired banana as a fundraiser perk for Artisphere in Rossyn, VA. I curated the Smith Center yarn bomb in DC and opened my solo exhibition in early April in D.C. Website: Facebook: Pinterest: Twitter: StacyJCantrell
