Dress up in this classic summer set, which also includes a matching hat*, or wear as separates. The skirt buttons up the back and also has a buttoned slit at the bottom edge, The top has matching detail at the sides. If you love thread crochet, this is a great project for the intermediate crocheter. The motifs are crocheted together using the connect-as-you-go technique. Assembly charts are provided for all sizes. This pattern is written in U.S. terms. *The hat pattern is also sold separately as the "Classic Summer Hat". BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You should already know how to ch, sc, hdc, and dc Additional stitches are defined in the instructions GAUGE Working in pattern: Square Motif = 2.25" across SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS The finished chest sizes for the top are: 31-1/2", 36", 40-1/2", 45", and 49-1/2". The finished waist/hip sizes for the skirt are: 22-1/4"/36", 25"/40-1/2", 27-3/4"/45", 30-1/2"/49-1/2", and 33-1/4"/54". Instructions are also included to create intermediate waist sizes for the skirt. The hat size is 22-1/2" circumference. I have always loved crafting! My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. I started writing down patterns when making snowflakes, one of my favorite projects to make. I love working on any kind of thread crochet project such as connect as you go motifs, filet crochet, etc. My other favorite crochet projects are working on my reversible designs. I also enjoy cross stitch and knitting. Someday I hope to learn quilting and tatting.
