Pattern Details

A design that is sure to please any flower loving little girl or car loving little boy. I'm not a fan of fringe that frays...especially for little ones that are going to pull and tug on it constantly. I designed this scarf to make the fringe fun for the kids and not easily frayed. :0) This pattern is written in a way for all skill levels to give it a try. There are photo instructions to help with any more difficult steps, and I'm always just an email away for any additional questions you may have. You can do this pattern as pictured in just a MC, CC and then enough yarn for your tires and windshields. That would require the following yardages: MC= 350 yards CC= 150 yards Yarn for tires = 50 yards Yarn for windshields=50 yards Although stitching up multiple colored cars and stitching numbers on to look like racecars is a fun idea and the possibilities are endless to make this your own. Multi colored flowers are a fun alternative to the flower fringe as well. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY sc hdc sl st yo following tutorials for special instructions GAUGE 15 HDC = 4" Gauge in this pattern is as important as you want it to be. The length of the scarf is really more your personal preference. If you want the final measurements to be exactly as in the pattern, you will want your gauge to match. Otherwise, there is really no reason to sweat it. :o) SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approximately 46" from fringe edge to fringe edge

Recommended with this pattern

  • 150 yards worsted weight yarn in CC
  • optional: 50 yards worsted weight yarn for windshields
  • 50 Yards worsted weight yarn in black

Stay@Home Stitchings
I'm a Stay@Home mom of 4 kids ages 12 and under. I love to Stay@Home Stitching: knitting, crocheting, designing and creating. My husband's job requires our family to move around every few years. I wanted to be able to do something I loved that was easy to move around with me and that allowed me to stay@home and take care of my 4 young children. I started Stay@Home Stitchings as a way to do all that. I make items and list them on Etsy and just recently have started to type up the patterns I've been making to sell them as well. I LOVE what I do! My life purpose is to live in a way that glorifies God in all things, from how I'm raising my children to how I use the gift of crafting to honor Him. I've dabbled in all things crafting, but knitting and crocheting is where my passion is. :)
