Pattern Details

These booties are made in one piece with no seaming necessary. They start at the sole and end at the top edge. A drawstring is made with the contrasting color and woven through the ch-sps near the top edge. I designed these baby booties to be given to clients at my local community pregnancy center. They are a little on the small side because they are meant to be a memento for the newly pregnant client to take home to help her choose life for her unborn baby. They can be made larger with a larger crochet hook and heavier yarn, if desired. With the size of yarn and crochet hook listed, however, they are a good size for preemies and small newborns! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY know how to work ch, sc, hdc, dc, sl st, increases and decreases know how to work in the round on both sides of the foundation chain GAUGE rnds 1-3 = 3" long x 1.25" wide SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS approx 3" long
