This is a very simple, beginner's vest pattern. The pattern is a one row repeat & is charted. The vest starts at the bottom, & is worked in one piece until you get to the underarms. The vest is then divided into the two front pieces & the back piece, & then seamed at the shoulders. Anika looks good in both solid & multi color versions. It is designed with 2-4" of positive ease in mind, so you can easily wear this as a layering piece. Spud & Chloe Sweater is a cotton & wool blend, making this a great 3 season vest. The main stitch pattern uses single crochet, double crochet, and chain stitches. Pattern also includes a schematic. I named this vest after my beautiful friend, Anika, who is also my model in the first two photos you see. Buttons are optional: I do not give directions for making buttonholes, but the stitch is very open, making it easy to add buttons or closure any place you'd like, & simply close through the lace pattern. Thank you to June Gilbank (http://www.planetjune.com) for her tech editing/charting skills, & to Anika Pecyna for being my lovely model! As always I couldn't do it without all of you. Feel free to make as many of these as you like for local craft fairs/auctions/raffles/bazaars, but please do not sell finished items online. The pattern itself is not for sale. If making for charity, please let me know the name of the charity & include my contact info with the item (anastaciaknits on Ravelry). If you have any questions or comments or just want to join like-minded souls & / or join in some testing (mainly crochet patterns) please join my Ravelry group at http://www.ravelry.com/groups/anastacia-knits-designs.
