Dal Makhani with Naan

Warm, spicy lentil stew with fried onion topping. The bread on the side is a "mini Naan" from the supermarket: pop it in the toaster and the soft center puffs up a little but the crust outside stays crisp. We used red lentils and Italian parsley instead of cilantro (husband doesn't like cilantro and we've had a bag of red lentils languishing in the pantry for...years?). I paid attention when the instructor said that if the lentils were old, they may just need to look a bit longer.
