The 1/2" core board it sits on measures 15" x 20". Bake 2 - 13" x 9" cakes (be sure your pan is true-to-size). You will need fondant, white modeling chocolate, silver petal dust, and an air brush with colors - pink, yellow, green & black. I sketched out a basic fish outline. I made it a bit fat for extra servings. The cake was cut out corner-to-corner in the fish shape. The tail is all modeling chocolate, starting at about 2 1/2-3" before it starts to curl up. After carving the cake, add the mod. choc. tail & blend to cake with icing. Cover with fondant. I did not cover the whole tail with fondant - trim the fondant & blend into the mod. chocolate. I forgot to emboss the fondant prior to placing on the cake, so i used a teaspoon and made the scales. Score the lines on the tail & fins. Dust cake with silver petal dust, then airbrush, don't forget the fins that's set aside! I placed the net first on the cake board. Rolling out modeling chocolate to size, then using an extruding gun & modeling chocolate to design the netting. Then place the cake & add the fins last.
