my 1st "dog" cake!

Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake This was a cake I donated for my town's Police Dog's 2nd Birthday. I worked with all of Elisa's recommended recipes & techniques, however I did not have the time to dry-dust the colors onto the dog's fur (of course I was doing this type of cake for the 1st time, AND at the very last minute! Never a good combination!) Our Police Dog is a gorgeous, purebred German Shepherd, so that breed was may goal. I could have used more time to make sure the snout of my dog was the correct length/shape. It came out a little too long and weird, but I think if I had more time to play with it, I would have gotten it...kind of. Also, with the coloring...I literally had 30 minutes before the "Birthday Picnic" to color it, so next time, I would be more careful painting, using better "blending" techniques", That said, the airbrushing really worked well...and quickly! What are you most proud of? I think the body came out really well. Need some work on shaping the head. All in all, the Sandusky Police Department and townspeople loved it. The Birthday Boy (the Police Dog) did not much care....he's not allowed to eat treats, let alone sweets! He's super healthy!
