Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake buttercream icing, modeling chocolate, gumpaste What are you most proud of? The cake is iced in buttercream. I molded the monsters out of modeling chocolate. I enjoy working with modeling chocolate - so much easier to mold with than fondant or gumpaste as you can rub the seams and they disappear - something fondant and gumpaste doesn't do. However, it is a humid day here in Ohio and when I took the monsters out of the fridge I had a situation of them getting condensation on them from the change of temperature. I can see where this could be a problem if I were delivering to a reception in the summer and had made flowers out of modeling chocolate...will have to see if I can find a solution to this problem. very nice. When I have used modeling chocolate I keep it at room temp. How is the bottom " furrry" look done ? is it fondant or buttercream ?
