The more random you pipe the better it looks. Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Pillsbury strawberry cake mix, vanilla buttercream frosting tinted with wilton paste food coloring violet, sky blue & assure blue and piping bag striped as well with tip D2. 5" styrofoam ball, short ceramic flower pot, green tissue paper, tooth picks, gum paste leaves. I built the bouquet from the bottom up with 7 cupcakes on the bottom tier, 6 above that and one on the very top. I frosted the cupcakes after sticking them to the styrofoam ball with toothpicks. What are you most proud of? How realistic the piping looked. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Try it with mini cupcakes might be even easier!

What you will need

  • Pillsbury strawberry cake mix
  • vanilla buttercream frosting tinted with wilton paste food coloring violet

Hi I made 2 colors of buttercream one more light blue, one a purple blue. I striped the pastry bag with the asure blue color paste then filled the bag with both colors of buttercream one on each side of the bag x
