Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Fondant: Fondarific, first time using it, LOVE it! Gumpaste for the flowers: Mostly Jacqueline Butler's recipe and some store bought (Satin Ice) Chocolate buttercream filling and dark chocolate ganache to cover the cake before covering with the fondant. What are you most proud of? The flowers! they are so labor intensive and so fragile. It was so stressful to put the bouquet together...broke a few... What advice would you give someone starting this project? Advice: just try it and practice! This is my 5th cake. I started making cakes when I started having kids! One cake for every birthday. I learned by watching cake shows on TV, researching online and reading books. Fell in love with sugar flowers. I discovered a new passion.I wish I had more time to practice.
