DSW Shopping Bag and Gum-Paste Shoe

Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake Materials: - 11 x 15 rectangular pan (2 baked cakes) - Wooden dowel - Fondant (White, Hot Pink & Black) - Gum-paste - 14 x 14 Cake board - High Heel Shoe Stencil (can be found on CakeCentral.com) - Fondant Tools & Cutter - Fondant Roller - Butter-cream icing - Letter Stencil - Pasta Machine What are you most proud of? I am most proud of how well the gum-paste shoe and shopping bag cake came out. It was my second attempted at creating a shopping bag and everything worked out well in the end. What advice would you give someone starting this project? The only advice I can give for someone who wants to attempt this project is to make sure you have the design planned ahead. The gum-paste shoe should be done in steps and at least a week in advance to dry and assemble. The cake itself is a two-three day process. Make sure to cut out stencils from wax paper to cute out the layer of cakes.
