The way it came out in the end, the guests at the banquet were thrilled with the cake and just amazed at the delicate beauty of the cage work. I managed to get it to the location without breaking the pieces, they do have some strength but need to be supported during transportation. There were a lot of "WOW" comments..I encourage you to give it a try, I really enjoyed this style and would certainly do it again. My mind is already thinking of ways to use this for other projects. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I didn't take them off the containers until I was setting up at the church. This way I could trasport them without breakage.
