Share a little about the materials, processes, and techniques used to create this cake gumpaste, floral wire, cutters, rollers, colors dusts, a steamer, and other miscellaneous tools What are you most proud of? I'm most proud of the very noticeable difference that this class made in the final appearance of my sugar flowers! Even my husband noticed the difference, saying, "They've always been beautiful, but now they're like ten times as good as they were!" Now, that's something! What advice would you give someone starting this project? The only thing that gave me problems was wrapping the floral tape after my flowers had dried... it was hard to get the tape around the wire closest to the flower with the calyx in the way... I would add the tape I wanted for thickness first and then add the calyx. I actually broke a few leaves off trying to wrap my wire close to the base of the flower... other than that, I had no problems. Although, I would also recommend getting a groove board and a chrysanthemum leaf cutter. I made these without those two items, but they would make the process so much easier.
