Project

The rose

What are you most proud of? I am learning. My quilting has changed since I took Cindy's class. For instance, I chose a tan thread instead of the natural I would have used. I love the shadow effect. I'm not using a thread that much darker than I use to but it is a few shades darker. I am getting better at the feathers going under but I still get nervous doing it. But not as nervous as I use to get. I just need to do it and do it and do it and that case of nerves will be a thing of the past. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Smile while you practice and make your practice pieces into something.

You Can Make This

Deb Cavanaugh made The rose with:

  • muslin
  • fabric paints
  • a light light polyester batting over cotton batting
