Quilted clutches

Project Description

What are you most proud of? After making the smaller red clutch I realized I needed to pay more attention to the fabric as I cut it, so the 9" clutch is better because the polka dots and the quilting is more precise and balanced. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Same as above - pay attention to the pattern in your fabric so that when you quilt you can enhance the look.

What you will need

  • Basic quilting materials and 7" and 9" zippers

Q&A with Marie Withrow

gisela622 asked:
they r so cute, ........ missed your work ..............its so inspiring
Marie Withrow answered:
Thank you! I have finally retired so hope to make many new things this coming year!
Zelda15 asked:
I like the randomness of the dots on the 7 inch clutch, though both look great to me!
Marie Withrow answered:
Thank you. It's funny, I made the 7" first and realized I could have had more symetry if I cut the fabric more carefully so did so on the 9". When finished, I, too, liked the randomness of the 7" better!
gisela622 asked:

Marie Withrow answered:
Just found your note from long ago. Did you finish your Grandson's quilt! I find my creativity ebbs and flows, too. Pinterest is a nice place to gather some new energy...and then it just seems to come back!!
