Project

Queen's Jewels

What are you most proud of? I really like the way it turned out. I took it to a friend's house to show her the completed project. Her den was painted an apple green and when we held it on the wall it was so stunning that she wants to buy it! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just go pick out a picture, fabric, article of clothing, anything that you like and start there with your color selection. Have fun. As Carol Ann says, there are no rules!

Q&A with etsew@aol.com

Carol Ann Waugh asked:
This piece is just gorgeous! Love the pink!
etsew@aol.com answered:
Thank you! I am getting addicted to this stitching, thanks to you!
Debbi Friend asked:
Wow wow wow. Love the use of color, this piece is a stunner.
etsew@aol.com answered:
Thanks. The photo does not do it justice. The greens and reds really pop, especially when hung on a green wall!
Creativewan asked:
I LOVE this! How did you think to put this together? Did you plan it all out or was it a happy accident? No matter, it is gorgeous !
etsew@aol.com answered:
Thank you for your nice comments. I wanted to try a black background so i went to Hobby Lobby and looked at upholstery and drapery fabrics for inspiration. I found a piece that I liked, bought a small amount and went home and used the fabric piece as my color pallette. That is really all the planning that I did.
