Q&A with Crafty Stitches

lskeenan56@gmail.com asked:
I can't find the pattern for this one.... The "free pattern" link does not go to it. (At least that I can find!)
Crafty Stitches answered:
I am so sorry for that, I thought it was a Moda pattern but I checked back and I made it from a picture, I have posted instructions, I hope they help, If you need any more advice just send me another post.
Eileen Moos asked:
Crafty Sitches - you made a note below that you have now posted instructions how to make the Quilt for Meg. Where do I go to find and print the instructions? I don't see a link on this site. Thanks for your time.
Crafty Stitches answered:
I didn't use a pattern, I made this quilt from a picture that I saw on the net. I used a charm pack and matching jelly roll. I left the charm pack squares as is and surrounded them with strips from the jelly roll, I then added 2.5" white sashing inbetween the blocks and added a 2.5" white border and made a pieced border with the remaining bits of the jelly roll with white inbetween. I measured the mattress to worked out how many squares that I needed to desired width and length and then added the borders, hope this helps.
Nanette310 asked:
I love the look of this quilt.. This is what I want to do! I have been trying to find directions. I have a neat color bundle of Charm Squares, so I now know what I will be doing! Thanks for the idea.
Crafty Stitches answered:
no problem if you need to know how I did it, there are directions below a comment form Eileen Moos below
Mary FK asked:
How did you quilt it? I can't see the detail work. I am working on a baby quilt for my first granddaughter and I'm struggling with the quilting. I guess I am a passionate piecer and need more practice with the quilting.
Crafty Stitches answered:
Hi Mary, I think I cross hatched the centre squares and quilted straight lines 1/4" in from the seam on all the other sections, didn't know how to free motion quilt back then
Cynmoon asked:
