Friendship Braid Quilt

What are you most proud of? This was my second "big quilt" project to do on my home machine, using the techniques in Wendy's class. I used stitch-in-the-ditch on all the "braid" pieces and it ended up making a pretty chevron-like pattern on the quilt back. I did free-motion quilting on the white borders with a light-blue thread. The picture didn't turn out well but the quilting came out nicely. I traced a floral-stipple template onto the fabric with an air-soluble marker, and stitched over the lines (mostly). I also used Wendy's quick binding technique and it turned out very nicely! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be afraid to just jump in and quilt a larger quilt on your home machine. Wendy gives some good tips on managing the bulk of even larger quilts while free-motion quilting. It is fun!
