Dresden Plate block

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That the circle laid flat after I sewed it. What advice would you give someone starting this project? To get a Dresden Plate tool to cut by. Take your time and cut very carefully. Sew an exact 1/4" seam, not scant so your plate will lie flat when done. If you like things, put them on paper and make a quilt. It's fun !!!!

What you will need

  • Various fabrics
  • scissors
  • rotary cutter
  • mat
  • rulers
  • Dresden plate tool
  • fusible webbing
  • sewing machine
  • thread

Thank you ! These colors are from the $1 fat quarter sale I went to last week. I really stocked up and I might go back and get more before July runs out.

Hi, I WISH I had used a Dresden tool with my Sunflower Babies quilt. I had an awful time getting those circles to come out right. I'm never going to make another Dresden Plate quilt without that tool. Thank you !!
