Project Description

What are you most proud of? Using colour differently outside my comfort zone

Q&A with QuiltB

Anita Grossman Solomon asked:
Did you expect the grey/black combination to come out as it did? I especially like that there is a common light grey in the both the paisley and batik-like fabric that makes that block resonate for me.
QuiltB answered:
I didn't know what to expect. It looks very good in person (not sure of the correct phrase here?)
gloria_friesen asked:
Nice block. Also nice to see someone on craftsy that lives close to me!
QuiltB answered:
Same here
jean95552 asked:
What is your comfort zone in color? I too have stepped outside my preferred colors and have found that I feel like I am doing a task more so than something enjoy. Bright and cheery is more my style but I have done a few things these past weeks that are more earthy and I feel a bit drab. I am going to quilt one today and hope the stitching gives the pop that I want.
QuiltB answered:
I usually use blues and small print or plain fabric
lolahafle1670758 asked:
Do you cut the pieces in an angle ? How do you put the blocks together or do you put blocks together?
QuiltB answered:
So easy with Anita's instructions and no wasted fabric with very little measuring--love the technique
