could you add a close up of the block? would love to see the part of it where you put the two blocks together somewhere on the quilt. I love this and wanted to make one but wasnt sure how to connect them together, I was thinking sashing, but O how I like your way.

I can. It is a four square block...made to finish at the same size as the other blocks. It is stripped in sets of 3 to create a 9 patch. The four square is 1 1/2" strips of red & white sewn together and then cut into 2 1/2" squares.
