This unusual bag is made from individually completed hexagons in a quilt-as-you-go method. The Hexes, which can wonderfully display a bold print or a rainbow of colors, can be done by hand or by machine and are a lot of fun to make. The bag comes in both a purse and a tote size. Make them with novelty prints (like my Pug Puppy) or with beautiful batiks or colorful cottons or your embroideries. The hexagons make a self lining and there's a bit of slight of hand to the shaping of the bag. Make it all with leisurely hand sewing or quick machine stitching. Either way, you'll make a lovely Happy Hex Bag! OH! And once you start making these hexes, you can make Coasters, Placemats, Tablerunners or Quilts! The pattern has instructions and templates.
