Pattern Details

This is a simple and quick project to make for a baby - or anytime you want a small quilt! Makes a great table topper or throw for a chair as well. As you can see, by changing your fabric, you can really change the look of this fast, fun and easy quilt - perfect for a gift as you can finish it in a weekend! You can make this quilt with a package of charm squares, or create your own themed collection of 5 inch fabric squares as I have done in the the travel version of the quilt. If you would like to make it in a planned format you will need: 1 yard of a main print 1/3 yard of a contrast print 1/4 yard for the accent and 1/2 yard for inner border and binding This is a very forgiving pattern for beginners, just about anyone can successfully make this quilt! I like the scrappy look of a charm pack (buy one, or use your stash!) plus the fact that you don't have to do a lot of cutting to get this going! SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 41 x 41 inches

Recommended with this pattern

  • 2/3 yard for outer border
  • 1/2 yard for inner border and binding
  • 1 charm pack or 36 Five inch squares

I've been making things as long as I can remember, thanks to my Mom who is a great seamstress! From my start in quilting I have loved creating my own original designs, and I am glad for the opportunity to share them here with you! I especially love making patterns that are encouraging for beginner quilters - I try to make sure my directions are clear and well illustrated to take the frustration out of quilting and make it a joyful process. I'm always happy to answer questions and provide help if you have any problems, just let me know. Thanks so much for looking at my patterns!
