What materials did you use? cotton materials, low loft batting, quilt binding, thread, sewing supplies & tools.

What are you most proud of? How nice it looks and my Aunt was thrilled that I was making it for her. I outlined each bear paw upon quilting, and I like the way it came out.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Bear paws are not the hardest to make - but the more you make of them, the more you don't want to make them again...I started this quilt - stopped and then made another one before I finished this one - but after my second bear paw quilt I think it will be enough for awhile.

I agree with the advice given. I started one for my Dad. Set it aside and made a few other quilts before going back to it and finishing it. Thos little itty bitty half-square triangles can be mind numbing. I made 1.5 inch ones - over 300 of them...

I've never made a Bear Paw Quilt but I sure love your quilt! I'm a beginner but I hope one day will have the knowledge, talent & ability you have.

10/04/2011 Flag's not as hard as it looks, but just take your time and it will work out, and remember - if you make a mistake there is always the seam ripper
