Wet Felting a Vessel using a 3D resist

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Not wetting or breaking my camera while taking all the photos! What advice would you give someone starting this project? A good, clean working space is an advantage. I'd recommend pulling off lots of wool tops before doing each layer, and if you want to use locks around the top, try trapping the bottom of them between the last two layers. If you're thinking of using lots of other fibres or fabrics for surface interest, try starting with this layer and working inside out.

What you will need

  • Wool tops
  • (Optional wool locks
  • silk pieces
  • organza
  • other felting embellishments) Water
  • soap
  • 3D resist ie ball
  • shape made from bubblewrap.
