Project Description

What are you most proud of? Although my first lace project has mistakes, I love wearing it and get many compliments. I am not sure why I made the edges pointed when blocking, but it came out OK anyway. Note that the picture looks a little like there is a mistake on the left side, but there was something dark underneath in that area when I took the picture. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time and enjoy the journey. Laura's class is a great way to learn.

What you will need

  • Fingering Weight yarn.

Looks like an excellent job for your first lace shawl, Laura. Congratulations! I'm finishing Clarus also, and will go on to the Knitting with beads class next too. See you there. Judy
glyncor answered:
Thanks Judy. I just returned from the store where I purchased beads for Clarus - I am getting excited to add them.

Spikeychic@live.com asked:
very nice. love the color
glyncor answered:
Thank you - it wasn't the easiest color to use for my first lace shawl, but my choices were few the day I went to the yarn shop. However, it is a color I will use.
Highplainsgal asked:
I really like the pointed edges. I think it looks very classy. Congratulations!
glyncor answered:
Thank you. The points were a mistake. In a brain fog, I put points instead of scallops when I was blocking. :o) I guess it looks OK this way, too. :o) It was a fun project and Laura is a great teacher.
Janeysawyer asked:
The dark color looks great! You made me think I need a black one! Or very dark. I redid mine many times! I love your shawl.
glyncor answered:
Thank you.
