Ingerlise Crazy Lace Sweater

Project Description

What are you most proud of? This is my first top down sweater. The first sweater of my own design ever too! What advice would you give someone starting this project? I took a lot of video notes on the lessons and also repeatedly watched the lessons as I needed to catch something I was unsure of. I'm glad I was willing to start over 3 times, the first time, with 3 inches done, the 2nd time with 8 inches done, and I'm on the third start and it's going great. Love it and have learned so much from the first 2 tries. Got a v-neck with a slope I really like, and I got practice working the lace and keeping in patttern with the increases.

Q&A with knitter4years

Wandalea asked:
Beautiful! How many sts per inch? Yeah, I'm getting used to starting over or tinking back too. Not such a big deal anymore. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished sweater.
knitter4years answered:
It's at 5 stitches an inch on the stockinette portion. That doesn't seem too fine a gauge to me. I thought sock yarn would make a finer gauge than that but I like it so I'll stick with it.
knitter4years asked:
Thank you Wandalea. I am not sure the stitches per inch at a this moment. :) I know I am using a U.S. size 5 addi turbo with the brass coating and this Stroll Tonal sock yarn is a fingering weight sock yarn. I got it back on the needles and I'm heading into the end of the yoke. I can't wait to show you when it's done. I've loved your posts and your work too.
knitter4years answered:
Forgot to mention that on stockinette portions I switch to a U.S. size 6 and for lace portions I use the U.S. size 5 needle.
