I have always loved the beautiful and elaborately elegant Venetian masks. Using them as inspiration for my Venetian collection, I designed my Veneto cowl with slipped stitches to recreate the colorful swirls of a Venetian mask. The pattern includes instructions for both a long tailed cast on and a tubular cast on/bind off, as well as both charted and written directions for the main section of the cowl. I am knitter, Classicist, Whovian, and Harry Potter nerd. My knitting obsessions right now include cables (especially reversible ones), slipped stitches, garter stitch, beading, and hats. Lots of hats. I try to include both charts and written directions in all of my patterns.
