This comfy hat is an easy and fast knit.Work it in one color or 2. Ear flaps are knit first, then worked into the cast-on round.The 4-round waffle repeat is easy to memorize for knitters of any skill level. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY work in the round basic increasing & decreasing follow a simple stitch pattern GAUGE 18 sts and 24 rows per 4 inches in stockinette SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Finished Circumference: 10(12, 14, 16, 18) inches Size: Newborn(6 months, 12 months, Toddler, Child)

Supplies Needed

  • For 2-color version [shown in Child]: 23(30, 40, 40, 65) yards A and 22(30, 35,45, 55) yards B worsted weight yarn
  • For solid version [shown in Toddler]: 45(60, 75, 95, 120) yards worsted weight yarn

She also does freelance work for a variety of publications. In her non-knitting life, Kate has just finished up a PhD in Political Science from the University of Florida. She lives with her family in South Carolina, which includes husband Ryan, Jesse, Charlie & Oliver (3 very handsome Tot Topper's models) and beloved dogs Cooper and Lou.
