Scarf uses traditional Orenburg lace-knitting techniques (yarn over and knit two together) and motifs (diagonal and strawberry) - it is contemporary design! Increases and decreases of stitches create the effect for the exaggerated border. Only 217 yards for all scarf! It can be nice present for people who born under Dragon sign. Inna Voltchkova was born and raised in Kiev, the oldest city in Eastern Europe. A trip to Chicago in 1991 introduced her to the love of her life. She moved to the Chicago area. She started knitting when she was ten years old; for the past 30+ years her passion has been lace knitting, especially: Russian Style Lace, Estonian Haapsalu, and Shetland Lace. The folklore theme is a common motif in Inna’s lace design, a well-thought out use of Orenburg knitting traditions with modern lace create interesting designs with bright ethnic character. Winner of the TKGA Design Contest in 2010, Inna's beautiful lace designs have been featured frequently in the pages of Piecework, Knitting Traditions magazines and Twist Collective. Inna also teaches Russian Orenburg Style Lace knitting classes and workshops.
