Pattern Details

Chausettes de Lavande (Lavender Socks) are lightweight slipper socks perfect for wearing during spring and summer months. A pretty lavender bud stitch is used up the heel, along the sides and down the toe. Adding the optional crocheted picot edging is a pretty detail. This is a great pattern if you've always wanted to try knitting socks, but were afraid to try! They are very simple, knit up quickly and make a wonderful gift!! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit, purl, cast-on, bind-off, knitting in the round GAUGE Using size US 2 needles and sock yarn, in stockinette stitch: 6 1/2 sts, 10 1/2 rows per inch. Adjust your needle size as necessary to get the specified gauge. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Instructions are given for four sizes, measurements are for socks unstretched: Small: 7" (8cm), women's US shoe size 5 Medium: 8" (20.5cm), women's US shoe sizes 6-7 Large: 9" (23cm), women's US shoe sizes 8-9 X-Large: 10" (25.5cm), women's US shoe sizes 10-11 SUGGESTED YARN 150 yards of Fingering weight
