This scarf is knit in one piece from point to point. The fingers are knit one by one and placed on stitch holders. When all 5 fingers are knit you put them back on the needle and continue the body of scarf. When the next set of fingers are knit you will weave them through the first set and put the stitches back on the needle to complete the other point. Once you bind off you are done. No blocking required. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit, purl GAUGE Is not a big issue with this project. The worsted weight scarf as shown in pattern measures 6" wide, the scarf body between the woven fingers measures 30" long in pattern without stretching. The fingering weight scarf as shown in pattern measures 4" wide and the scarf body between the woven fingers measures 26" long. You can make them as long or as short as you wish. I have knit the sock yarn scarf on a size 0 & 2 needle. It was amazing to wear with my outfit for the day. I also have knit the worsted weight scarf on a size 9 and it looked wonderful. I live in the quaint Alpine City of Gaylord MI. I learned to knit from my great grandmother at the age of 8. I am also known as O/C Knitiot, and I come by it naturally. Everything has to match & balance in my knitting. My friends tease me, but I secretly fear they will bury me with mismatched socks to get even. Ravelry FaceBook Group
