I have an 1897 Morgan silver dollar that was minted in my Father's birth year. I wanted to do something with it besides keep it hidden away in his cedar box, so I devised this bezel to make it into a pendant that I could wear. The original was somewhat irregular and needed a little tweaking, so I made another bezel for this 1921 Morgan silver dollar. This bezel is sized for a silver dollar, but with a little adjustment will work with any cameo, shell or coin that doesn't have the domed front like a cab. Instructions are given for a bail so this becomes a pendant On the pattern pages, I have provided you with: Pictures of finished bezels List of supplies Step by step illustrations with accompanying text Hints and suggestions Approximate Finished size: 2.25 inches W X 4 inches L Supplies Used: 4mm rounds, 3mm rounds, size 11 seed beads, size 15 seed beads Technique: Right Angle Weave and Herringbone Pages to Print: 6 including cover Skill Level: Intermediate

The Bead Doodler
The Bead Doodler
I've been designing beaded jewelry since 2007. My initial attempts at designing were to make beautiful jewelry with semi-precious (healing) stones. The beads kind of took over my life and I'm not particular what I use to design with as long as it is a high quality bead. I can't say I have a favorite stitch or type of bead, but lately I've been experimenting with the new Twin beads and Super Duos. Next on my to-do list is design some items with Cubic Right Angle Weave with the Twins. It works in my head, now to put thread and beads to it.
