This tutorial will show you how to make these unusual earrings composed of a beaded bead and graded lengths of chains. Although they look quite complicated, provided you are proficient at making coils and turning loops, they are quite easy to assemble. The finished beaded beads have an opening loop on both sides and can be used as a basis for many other pieces of jewellery, some examples are shown at the end of the tutorial. The beads chosen for this tutorial are only a suggestion and can be substituted for other shapes or colours. 10 pages 20 steps 26 pictures BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Make long wire coils Make loops SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Finished size3.5cm/1 1/2" not including chain lengths

My passion for jewellery designing and making started 12 years ago with a silversmithing course and I have since embraced other techniques such as stringing, bead weaving, chain maille, resin but my true love is wirework in which I now specialize. I have contributed a monthly project to Beads & Beyond for the past 3 years, written numerous tutorials which I sell on my website and I am the author of The Absolute Beginner's Guide: Making Wire Jewellery (published by Kalmbach books) which teaches you in great detail all the basic techniques you need to become proficient at wirework. Don't forget to download my free tutorial about the basic tools you need to get started in wirework.
