PATTERN DETAILS

Do you love carnations? I do, they are my favorite flower! That's what inspired me to create a set of small and large Carnation Bouquet Doilies! This is the smaller one of the two, measuring about 9 inches blocked and starched. This is a doily with dimension! The carnations are designed to be life-size as though they were cut in half and laid upon the doily like a bouquet. While starching is not necessary, it will add even more to the dimensionality of the flowers. The center of the doily uses a stitch I call "prong stitch," which is simply a variation on the single crochet. Complete instructions are included in the pattern, along with numerous photos of the project BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY single crochet double crochet treble crochet work in round GAUGE Not given. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approximately 9"

Welcome! I'm Sheila. I've crocheted since I was about 11, and I've been designing for over 20 years now. I started after my eyes lost the ability to jump quickly back and forth from pattern to work. I started doing my own thing and never looked back! The vast majority of my work is in thread crochet, although I do enjoy my yarns too. I love to design 3D crocheted objects that are accented by my jewelrymaking hobby, too. I also enjoy creating accessories and winter warming objects like afghans, unique scarves, etc. My patterns are sold to support the needs of my Miniature Schnauzer rescue dogs. We operate as Sheila's Schnauzies, a nonprofit organization and currently have four furkids here. We all appreciate your support! If you'd like to see my crochet theme artwork printed on things like t-shirts and tote bags, stop by http://www.cafepress.com/Schnauzies. I do offer quite an extensive selection of free patterns at http://www..hubpages.com/hub/sheilaschnauzies. There you'll find a complete index of my free patterns. Thanks for coming by! Happy Crocheting,  Sheila
