I'm sharing a new pattern every week during (Inter)National Crochet Month, 2014. This is part of a series of blocks inspired by the Spring Garden theme of Crochetville's NatCroMo Designer Blog Tour. The center of this square is inspired by the gerbera flower. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic crochet stitches: chain, double crochet, single crochet Working in rounds, increasing, and joining new colors Crocheting in the back or front loop only Bobble, post stitch (written explanations are provided in pattern) GAUGE 1 square in pattern = 6" (15.25 cm) square. Exact gauge is not critical for this project. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 6" (15.25 cm) square SUGGESTED YARN 70 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Lion Brand Heartland (100% acrylic, 5 oz/142 g/251 yds/230 m) COLORWAY Shenandoah (CA) and Joshua Tree (CB)
