I love wearing wrist warmers. They cover a section of the arm that usually gets left out in the cold between the mitten and the sleeve. And what better way to have an accessory that does double duty as a bangle! Also works great as a pulse warmer which keeps hands warm in those air conditioned offices . The braiding is done before the bracelet is seamed together. For those of us old enough to remember; the same braiding technique is used to make those ever popular leather bracelets in the late 60's and early 70's. GAUGE 43 stitches = 7" long If you want a shorter bangle, reduce by 10 stitches a larger one, add 10 sts.

I first learned how to knit from my grandmother as a 6 year old. Later as a teenager I taught myself to crochet. I had to lay my hook aside while my children were very young due to the high demand of care my son required (born disabled). I did start sewing as I designed outfits for my son that used velcro openings instead of buttons and zippers to enable him to dress and undress himself. Once my children were old enough I picked up my needles and hooks and relearned the crafts. There is rarely a day that goes by that I'm not designing a new pattern and always crocheting and knitting.
