Everything’s better at brunch, right? While mimosas are the meal’s classic go-to, there are times when champagne is a no-go. That’s when a good mocktail recipe comes in handy. Since champagne has a fairly complex flavor, the key is to bring plenty of flavor with your other ingredients. This means that you can — and should — get creative with fruit juices and not limit yourself to classic orange juice. Say cheers to two of our favorite options.
Pineapple Ginger Mimosa Mocktail
Crush a 1″ piece of fresh ginger into a measuring cup and add in pineapple juice. Chill for 15-30 minutes. Combine 3 oz of the ginger-infused pineapple juice with 3 oz sparkling water for each drink. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a piece of candied ginger.
Peach Thyme Mimosa Mocktail
Gently muddle several sprigs of fresh thyme into the bottom of a measuring cup and add in peach nectar. Chill for 15-30 minutes. Combine 3 oz of the thyme-infused peach nectar with 3 oz sparkling water for each drink. Garnish with a slice of peach and a sprig of fresh thyme.
