(7) Name: 'Quilting : Amish Sunbonnet Sue
Amish Sunbonnet Sue

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should be familiar with hand or machine applique

Pattern Description:

Sunbonnet Sue has captured the hearts of most quilters. She continues to endear herself to us with her sweet little ways. I designed my Amish Sue for a local quilt Shop Hop in Atlanta. Since the theme was Amish, I thought I'd give Sue one of those recognizable black bonnets. Placing her on a rectangular background instead of a square was just a nod to her own irregular personality! Different border treatments completed my quilting venture outside of the traditional way of finishing a one block quilt.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 10" x 12" Block; 14" x 17" quilt

  • Good quality cotton fabrics. All yardage requirements and full size templates for applique are included
