Knitted Newborn Cable Headband

from GagaD's Delights
(6) Name: 'Knitting : Knitted Newborn Cable Headband
Knitted Newborn Cable Headband

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You will need to know how to knit and purl and should have some knowledge of cable knitting

Pattern Description:

I designed this headband for my daughter's photography business for her to use for newborn props! It is a very simple, delicate design, but yet, can be made very dressy. With a multitude of yarns and embelishments available, it is very versatile and can be anything you want it to be!! It would make a gorgeous addition to a Christening outfit, a special event dress, or used in holiday photos.

The finished headband is approximately 1 inch in width. You create the length. For newborns I stick to 12 inches in length.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Designed and scaled to fit newborn, but could be adjusted to fit other sizes with larger needles and heavier yarns

  • (2)Size 1 double-point knitting needles, Fingering yarn. A small cable needle or broken paper clip to hold stitches, and pearl beads, or other embelishments

Suggested yarn:

1 ounces of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Any baby or sock yarns. I prefer mostly solid colors so that the cables are easily seen.
