I left full-time medical practice when my first daughter was born, and wanted to make some cute outfits for her. That led to learning a host of new skills in various crafts, including sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting, photography, decorating, making artist teddy bears, embroidery, quilting etc etc...the list is never-ending :)

Thandi is the eighth of my patterns that makes use of the African Flower hexagon crochet motif and variations thereof, joined in a specific order to make a recognizable 3D item. I love this African Flower pattern and the creative possibilities of using it to make 3D items She's also an excellent stash buster project, as you only need to use very small amounts of leftover sock yarn to make a motif.
$1 of every pattern sold will be donated to the Kariega Foundation. You can read about them on their website:
Please support this worthy cause...whether you choose to buy a pattern or donate to them directly, your help is invaluable in fighting the scourge of senseless poaching...thank you!
